A Note On Ethnicity

Ahem. I have a story to tell. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.

So, it's Easter Sunday. We're sitting around the Dining Room table eating our delicious dinner. Daddy starts telling a story about something he did when he was a young adult. Then he starts questioning us as to whether what he did in the story was ethical or not. When he gets around the table and asks Theresa (11), he says, "So, Theresa, tell me: was that a sincere thing to do?"

Theresa, her mind still confused about the word "ethical", answers, "What's 'ethical'?"

I, wanting her to simply answer his question about sincerity, promptly reply with a yell across the table, "He didn't ASK about ETHNICITY!"

Oops.

(If you don't get it, I understand. You're blonde. Just look up "ethical" in the dictionary, and then look up "ethnicity.")
